Happy St Andrew's Day with Lochcarron of Scotland

Happy St Andrews Day to all our Scottish readers. May the streets and pubs of Scotland be awash with a sea of tartan. If it's a bit too nippy to wear a kilt, Lochcarron of Scotland has a huge selection of tartan ties. The Weathered Tartan tie (above) is made in Scotland from Lochcarron's lightweight Reiver worsted wool.

I can't find the tie on the web site now, but they have the fabric, which is the 10oz MacKellar tartan. No matter, Lochcarron has many similar ties. I just thought this one would go very nicely with your blue chambray shirt, that's all.

Keep Squeezing Those Pipes

'A gentleman is someone who knows how to play the bagpipes but doesn't.' Utter rot. Is there a more stirring sound than a bagpipe being given the full squeeze by someone who knows how to do it? A blast of Cock O' The North and my legs are literally marching into battle by themselves.
Legs marching by themselves
And what better day to listen to some outstanding pipe work from the Massed Pipes and Drums than St Andrews day?
